Radiate Like The Sun

Photo from NASA

This is a photo of a solar flare. It combines both beauty and power to provide an outstanding visual result. They say that the human body is also all energy. Looking at how each of our energies radiate, we need to be majestic and warming like the solar flare we are watching.

When You Get To The Top - LOOK UP!

Many goal setters talk about the time when they achieve their goal, they then will be content. They will reflect on the achievement and realization of what they want and feel satisfaction. For world class goal achievers, they do this but they also add another factor. They look up from that peak moment and ask themselves about what they want to and need to do next. They see past the present goal and into the new goal. They ask can they build on this, what did I learn from this and what else would add meaning to them. When they get to the top of their goal, world class goal achievers always look up. The point of view is outstanding when you are on top!

A great idea is still only an idea

For the next week, count the number of 'great ideas' others share with you.  You will hear about how to improve a process, add value to something in place, a slight change that would be better for many or how this latest and greatest brainstorm is a can't miss idea.  Also, monitor yourself and see how many times you think of others pieces of brilliant wisdom that would benefit all.  In 30 days, watch and see how many of these ideas are still ideas.
A great idea is still only an idea if no one takes action. Rare is the person or persons who feel so strongly about an idea that they change their behaviors into actions to make it happen.  Even less common is someone who takes the time to write down all the details of their thought and vision.  Next time you wonder why your next billion dollar idea hasn't come to pass, go back and review your notes and your action plans. If you didn't write anything down, your results speak for themselves.

Putting The Pieces Together

Why are jigsaw puzzles so engaging?  We look at a pretty picture, rich in details and know that we will persist looking at all the different shapes, textures, shadows and colors in order to put over 1,000 different irregularly cut shapes together to make a whole. Watch as different people use different strategies to build the puzzle. Many start with solidifying the out edge and then build in through the middle. Others find a cool part of the picture and put that together, then connect cool parts together. At then end, every one achieves the same satisfaction and success. What if we use this to look at life's adventures and how we put the pieces of our life together: look for cool parts, build a base, persist, ask for help when we get stuck, step back and admire.

Are You Fired or Hired?

The Celebrity Apprentice is one of the most popular unscripted television shows on the air.  Each episode, we watch teams of former athletes, actors, musicians and personalities come together to execute a marketing promotion or business campaign for charity, and then debrief with Donald Trump to determine which team was more successful. The losing team has a member fired in the boardroom.

Each week, the show demonstrates because you have success in one area doesn't necessarily translate into another field. It also shows that there are forces, including allies, who are working against you no matter how good your intent. The best contestants win or lose from a place of high self esteem. The stars who are fail are the crazy, catty, scene stealing individuals; who may make for entertaining television but are on the B list for a reason. Will you be hired or fired?  You ultimately make the decision, not your handlers, publicists, friends or spouses.

Are You Willing To Be Coached?

The recent end of the college and pro football seasons are greeted by changes in head coaches. Those who fail to achieve the team's objectives are often dismissed. Others are brought in to take the helm of a program. They are asked by leaders and owners to share their experience, wisdom and insights in the hope of success on the field. "Coaching" may also mean an relationship between two people, of whom one has more experience and expertise than the other and offers advice and guidance as the latter learns. The need to have someone further on the path to give those who will learn is invaluable. One trait of successful people in all walks of life is the willingness to work with someone. Ask yourself, how willing are you to be coached?

Each Soul Has Their Own Journey

Riding a bicycle across country like this man is doing says different messages to different people. Some would find it exhilarating to travel at eye level for a great distance. Others would find is fatiguing to pedal day after day. Some would want to have a group around them for support or security. Others are glad to have the serenity of just themselves and the wide expanse of planet before them.  As we each have our own ideas, recognize that each soul has their own journey to travel. Too many well meaning people spend far too much energy trying to keep others from harm, stress, fear or discomfort. Recognize that each soul has their own journey to travel. It is a wise soul who recognizes that anothers journey may not be theirs, but is equally as valid.

Review ... to look and to see again

Regular readers to this may have notices a unanticipated pause in our posting. This was not at all deliberate. There was a need to review ... to look and to see again both the mission and the message of what i-Spiration was and why this is of value for the editors as well as you the reader. This analysis is an important aspect with any project one undertakes. To view again or review is an important part of the process.  Our commitment to this process is renewed, and look for regular daily posts here.
