Radiate Like The Sun

Photo from NASA

This is a photo of a solar flare. It combines both beauty and power to provide an outstanding visual result. They say that the human body is also all energy. Looking at how each of our energies radiate, we need to be majestic and warming like the solar flare we are watching.

When You Get To The Top - LOOK UP!

Many goal setters talk about the time when they achieve their goal, they then will be content. They will reflect on the achievement and realization of what they want and feel satisfaction. For world class goal achievers, they do this but they also add another factor. They look up from that peak moment and ask themselves about what they want to and need to do next. They see past the present goal and into the new goal. They ask can they build on this, what did I learn from this and what else would add meaning to them. When they get to the top of their goal, world class goal achievers always look up. The point of view is outstanding when you are on top!

A great idea is still only an idea

For the next week, count the number of 'great ideas' others share with you.  You will hear about how to improve a process, add value to something in place, a slight change that would be better for many or how this latest and greatest brainstorm is a can't miss idea.  Also, monitor yourself and see how many times you think of others pieces of brilliant wisdom that would benefit all.  In 30 days, watch and see how many of these ideas are still ideas.
A great idea is still only an idea if no one takes action. Rare is the person or persons who feel so strongly about an idea that they change their behaviors into actions to make it happen.  Even less common is someone who takes the time to write down all the details of their thought and vision.  Next time you wonder why your next billion dollar idea hasn't come to pass, go back and review your notes and your action plans. If you didn't write anything down, your results speak for themselves.

Putting The Pieces Together

Why are jigsaw puzzles so engaging?  We look at a pretty picture, rich in details and know that we will persist looking at all the different shapes, textures, shadows and colors in order to put over 1,000 different irregularly cut shapes together to make a whole. Watch as different people use different strategies to build the puzzle. Many start with solidifying the out edge and then build in through the middle. Others find a cool part of the picture and put that together, then connect cool parts together. At then end, every one achieves the same satisfaction and success. What if we use this to look at life's adventures and how we put the pieces of our life together: look for cool parts, build a base, persist, ask for help when we get stuck, step back and admire.
